About Us
Some businesses start with a business plan. Mine started with a cup of coffee and a dream I refused to let go of.
I'm Beatrice — but most people call me Bea. Or Mrs. Bea. Or Miss Bee. It's been that way for as long as I can remember, and honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.
For years I talked about building something of my own. Something that wasn't a clock to punch or a ceiling to bump up against. Something that was mine — that was ours. And when I finally sat down and got serious about it, coffee kept coming up. It's part of my daily ritual, my quiet mornings, my way of resetting and showing up for the day. It felt right.
The name wrote itself. I've always loved bees — their purpose, their community, their quiet power. And when you put it all together — the name people already call me, the beauty in what I am — The Ebony Bee was born.
This is for us. For our community. For every Black woman who has ever had a dream sitting on the back burner waiting for the right time. The right time is now.
Every bag you buy means something. It means a Black-owned family business gets to keep going. It means representation in spaces we've always belonged in. It means you believed in us — and we don't take that lightly.
Welcome to The Ebony Bee. We're so glad you found us.
